Meehan class tears Donegal to shreds'
Galway 1.16 Donegal 0.12
Galway's rise continued at Pease Stadium as Donegal were
put to the sword. Three factors are contributing to the
expectation in Galway - a defence that has yet to
concede a goal in four matches, a greater physicality in
the exchanges and Michael Meehan at full forward.
Meehan continues to improve with every performance as he
scored as much as the entire Donegal team, notching 1.09
in a magnificent display. He scored 1.05 in the first
half as Galway built up a 1.11 to 0.02 interval lead
having played with the wind.
And while Galway conceded seven points without reply at
one stage in the second period, they never looked like
conceding there first goal of the campaign as they made
it four wins on the trot.
