Kilnadeema/Leitrim Intermediate management and fellow players suffered a big blow with the news during the week that full back and former Galway senior Goalkeeper Kevin Boyle had suffered a bad knee injury while on holidays in Switzerland. Kevin who arrived home on crutches was in good spirits and was hopeful of a full  recovery within 6 months. The fact that the operation was carried  out so early will help his recovery. He hopes to be back for the championship quarter-finals.
