Five Kilnadeema/Leitrim Minor hurlers had the ultimate success story on Sunday evening in Birr when they were part of the Loughrea Vocational school's team which defeated Johnstown of Kilkenny in the senior All Ireland final to bring the seventh title to the school. It was very special for Brian Gardiner as he played at wing back in a very good team made up of many of this year's county minor's. Three other lads Sub Goalie Paul Howard, defender Kevin Kelly ,and forwards  Padraig Stapleton and  Shane Curley also were part of this great panel.
