Turloughmore 1.01
Kilnadeema/Leitrim's good start to life in
Division A of Feile na NGeal
continued on
Tuesday evening last when they had an a
rather easy victory over Turloughmore in
Leitrim. With the need to improve their scoring
average in order to move up the table the had
goals on their mind from early on. The first
score of the game was a Brian Molloy point
from play and this was quickly followed by a
point from Cillian Dowling also from play before
Brian Molloy got the first goal after 5 minutes.
This was soon followed by another goal, this
time from Cillian Dowling as Kilnadeema/Leitrim
took control. Brian Molloy then added three
points from a 65. play and a free to put his
side 2.05 to no score ahead after 13 minutes.
Full Forward Eoin Morrissey then added another
goal three minutes later to really end the
contest. Brian Molloy added the last score of
the half, a point from a free to leave the score
at half time 3.06 to 0.00. Turloughmore shut up
shop in the second half and competed a lot
better even if they conceded another goal
immediately after half time when Tony
Molloy scored .Turloughmore replyed with a point
a minute later before Eoin Morrissey scored a
point for Kilnadeema/leitrim on 14 minutes which
was quickly followed by a pointed free from
Brian Molloy. Turloughmore followed this up with
another point on the stroke of half time to
leave the score line reading 4.08 to 0.02 at the
final whistle. This result will most certainly
qualify Kilnadeema/Leitrim for the quarter
finals later in the month.
